Dr Max Jakobs holds degrees in Physics and Biology from the Universities of Cambridge and Cologne and published more than 10 peer reviewed research articles with more than 500 citations. During his PhD he founded DeepMirror to build intuitive, reliable, and secure software that gives researchers an unbiased AI-powered perspective on their data to enhance creativity and accelerate discovery. Today, DeepMirror help researchers optimise drugs, develop laboratory processes for synthetic biology and gene therapy, and automate microscopy image analysis. Max is CEO at DeepMirror, Enterprise Fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering, and gives mentorship to entrepreneurial students in Cambridge.
